About.MicroPhase Clinical Laboratory originated in 1996 after witnessing a need for local laboratory services for clinical microbiology involving bacterial and fungal infections.
Our expertise includes bacteriology analysis, antibiotic susceptibility testing, and mycology. Cultures obtained in the physicians office are transported to the lab on the same day. They are immediately evaluated for proper set up so a preliminary and final report can be generated and sent to the clinician in the quickest available time. The physician can then proceed to the proper care by prescribing the correct antimicrobial therapy. The reporting of a non-growth of a specimen for culture becomes beneficial in preventing over prescribing unnecessary antibiotics, which can promote antimicrobial resistance. Our laboratory goes above and beyond protocol to expose poly microbial infections by utilizing more selective media and testing methods. This is not a standard practice in most microbiology laboratories. Our physicians can also request previously performed culture reports on their patients to see any patterns present of infection. We commend ourselves on communicating with our healthcare professionals whether it be a phone call or text to relay important and imperative results while maintaining HIPPA compliance. Our personnel are readily available to advise treating physicians and others on which tests to order and discuss the implications of test results. |
Our GoalProviding fast, accurate, and concise results to practitioners so they can enhance patient care.
